Membership Meeting Minutes
November 6, 2018

Meeting Minutes from October 4, 2018 were approved.

Our Inaugural Golf Tournament brought us 8 teams, 22 sponsors, and a $4500 profit. We are already in the early planning stages of next year’s 2nd Annual Golf Tournament so please let any board member know if you’d like to help with planning and/or sponsorship. It is our deepest hope that this event grows and becomes more successful with each passing year! We cannot do this without the help of all of you!!
Coach Craig Hollis is developing a program that he would like to bring to local schools (either during or after). It is still in the planning stages, but essentially it is a program that will promote non-soccer physical activity, nutrition, as well as life skills, personal/face-to-face communication skills, and team building. It is hoped that this will occur during the club’s 15 week down time (during the winter) with the 15th week of the program bringing all the groups from each school involved together for a field day type event. This is a good way to immerse the club in the community, as well as a way to increase interest with potential new players. This program is still having some of its finer details/logistics worked out but please be on the lookout for more information regarding this very soon! This program will be open to sponsorship to offset the cost for individuals who may wish to do this, but may not be able to afford it. The biggest goal of this program will be to become more involved with the community (especially the children) and to get kids moving at times when maybe they wouldn’t normally be active.
Team Snap has been having some issues with getting all the chats, posts, emails out to each member. This has affected the weekly team analysis. This issue is currently being worked on.
Friday Clinic Make-ups: Soccer Complex is closed all this week (November 5-11). Due to all the rain we have been receiving, and will continue to get (Friday the 10th is supposed to rain as well), we are waiting for field availability for ALL make-ups. This may end up being something that happens during the week OR on a Saturday. Please be on the lookout for these dates, as they are coming! Thank you for your patience with us as we sort this out.
Futsal signups are ongoing! Please visit our website OR email Beth ([email protected]) to sign your player up NOW!!! Deadline is November 20th.
Supplemental tryouts for the upcoming spring 2019 season are being held November 13 & 15. U6-U10 5:30-6:30/U11-U14 6:30-7:30/U15 and older 7:30-8:30. Coach Craig will be out of town for coach training and these will be run by Jason Stock (our Technical director) as well as Coach Craig Golding (and his Assistant Coach) from University of the Piedmont.
Team Manager Information: Intent to play forms need to be sent out (for spring teams) by November 26. December 13 opens the scheduling for games for Spring Season (Brackets open) and they close on December 21. Games being January 26 and the last game day is May 12.
The Kepner Cup was held this past weekend (November 3 & 4) and it was as a strong volunteer event. Those in charge of the event did mention that they enjoyed working with Impact FC because we work hard to make their needs are taken care of throughout this event. Thank you to those who helped out, and to those who helped make this a successful event, which, by the way, is a fundraiser event for us!
Please be on the lookout for a pre order form for Impact FC scarves!! These will make great Christmas gifts and will be a nice addition to our fan wear!
