Membership Present: Natalie Greene, Lisa Cartner, Aaron Morrison, Lindley’s, Paul Harmon, James Taylor, Viviana Dorantes, Paul Harmon, Jenni Conine, Ginny Devine, Scott Hollar, Nicole Halterman, Beth Schieck, Ken Griffin, Carlos Renza

I. Most Recent NCYSA Info: As of 5/1/2020: Return to play-6/1/2020; Season would run from 6/1-7/12. They are currently trying to get in touch with the appropriate person within the Governor’s office to address the return to “Youth Sports” in NC. US Youth Soccer is having a meeting with the states on May 8th to discuss “Return to Play”. Their current date is May 15th.

II. IFC plan:

1. If June 1st sticks: Schedule practices several days a week (we need to cover a lot of missed training), teams practice together. Practices would be one hour several days a week (versus just two). Get out and play games. IFC will hold Crossroads in June as it is our biggest fundraiser and we need it.

2. If season is cancelled, but there are not any real restrictions on training, we would like to still get teams together, have friendly’s and training.

3. Should it come down to not being able to get together, train, compete, etc. We will begin planning for Fall including potential prorated rates for current players that are present for Fall 2020.

III. Coaches: An email was sent out earlier in April to let membership know that coaches have been laid off as well as admin staff. All staff members are still “working” for IFC, just not receiving a paycheck. All staff is here for the membership.

IFC has been trying to get Payroll Protection but has been turned down to even receive an application by many banks due to the large volume of requests.

IV. Zoom Team Meetings-Players really should be attending these for ALL teams. There are topics covered, tasks to be completed, and count towards training hours that are normally provided throughout a “normal” season.

IV. Summer Player Availability-If players are allowed on the field June 1st, which players will be returning? In order to move forward with games, training, etc. the club NEEDS to know numbers.

V. Parent Question Portion of Meeting:

Finances: Expenses going out with no staff being paid? IFC has no payroll going out, no expenses going out. Any money to club goes to fees, facilities, payroll, insurance. Once players go back to training we will know where stand financially. We always run low financially. In regards to the Payroll Protection, IFC has not even been given an application. In regards to the SBA Economic Injury-as a PUBLIC non-profit, IFC does not qualify for the SBA loan. We have considered other lending options.

Team Managers/Team Fees: Within the next couple of weeks, information should be available on where the season stands, and at that time, Team Managers should work with their teams about what to do with Team Fees for the Spring 2020 season. Recommendation would be roll it into Fall 2020.

VI. GoFundMe reached $1500-still $500 from goal. Would LOVE to exceed that.

Meeting Adjourned @ 7:38pm
